# Legal and privacy Activity+ is a free app for macOS, made by one person. Delivering a page or a download transmits your IP address, the requested URL, the time, the referrer and your browser's user agent to Vercel's short-lived operational logs. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, the legitimate interest in delivering the site securely. Transfers to the United States are covered by Vercel's data processing agreement and the EU standard contractual clauses. There are no cookies, no analytics, no tracking and no embedded third-party content. Fonts, images, the film and the download are served from this site. The operator keeps no personal data from visits. On the plan this site uses (Vercel Hobby), these request logs are kept for one hour; Vercel may keep security and abuse records longer under its [privacy policy](https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy). If you write an email, it is used only to answer you and deleted when the conversation is over. Your rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection under Articles 15–21 GDPR. You may complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, [dsb@dsb.gv.at](mailto:dsb@dsb.gv.at). ## Privacy in the app Activity+ runs entirely on your Mac. It has no account and no analytics, and the operator never receives what you run, your history or any other data from the app. History, alerts and settings are stored in `~/Library/Application Support/Activity+/` and the app's preferences; delete them to remove everything. The app contacts the internet only in these cases: - The update check: once a day, Activity+ loads `activityplus.xyz/appcast.xml` from this site (Vercel, see above). You can turn it off in Settings → Updates. - When you click "Look up" for your public IP, the app asks `api.ipify.org` once, which sees your IP address. - When you switch on host names in Connections or the process inspector, the app asks your usual DNS server for the names of those addresses. The optional helper and the `aplus mcp` server only work locally on your Mac and send nothing anywhere. ## Disclaimer Activity+ is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, under the MIT licence. You decide which apps and processes to quit, which startup items to change and which files to move to the Trash; the app always asks first.
